Particle Size
The Particle Size task will focus on creating an advanced analytical tool designed to evaluate the size and distribution of particles captured in high-resolution microscopic images. The primary goal will be to process images in common formats, such as PNG or JPG, and determine the sizes of individual particles within the sample. By accurately measuring these particle sizes, the algorithm will generate detailed statistical outputs, including histograms that represent the distribution of particle sizes across the sample.
The particles in question are small spherical structures, adhered to a substrate, and photographed using a microscope. The analysis will explore robust methods for segmenting particles from the background, measuring their dimensions, and identifying their distribution patterns. This task aims to enhance the understanding of material composition and quality by providing detailed insights into particle characteristics.
