Microstructure Grains

The Microstructure Grains task will aim to create an advanced analytical framework for studying the microstructure of materials through microscopic imaging. The primary objectives will be to determine the grain sizes within the microstructure, calculate the proportion of distinct material phases, and evaluate their spatial distribution.

This method will involve segmenting and analyzing individual grains and phases using advanced image processing techniques. By quantifying grain sizes and phase fractions, the algorithm will provide valuable insights into the material structural and compositional properties. Furthermore, the spatial distribution of phases will be examined to identify patterns or trends that may influence material behavior.

This tool will support researchers and engineers in understanding the relationship between microstructure and material performance, making it a critical resource for material design, quality assessment, and process optimization in industries such as metallurgy and advanced materials development.
