Mechanical Characteristics
The Mechanical Characteristics task will aim to create a comprehensive analytical framework for processing and interpreting mechanical testing data provided in CSV format. The primary focus will be on generating stress-strain curves from the measured data, applying smoothing and noise reduction techniques to ensure accurate representation of the material behavior.
Key mechanical properties will be determined, including Young's modulus (elastic modulus in tension), yield strength (offset yield stress), ultimate tensile strength, and the proportions of total, plastic, and elastic deformation. These properties will be derived through automated curve analysis, ensuring precise and reproducible results.
The tool will support material scientists and engineers by providing an intuitive interface for data visualization and property extraction, enabling a deeper understanding of material behavior under mechanical stress. It will serve as a valuable resource for optimizing material performance and ensuring quality control in industrial and research applications.
